It's appropriate that we would begin our Catechism class so close to the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation: one of the great passions of the Reformers was to bring back the ancient Christian practice of catechesis - literally, "instruction." Like back then, today a poor understanding of the truly Good News has hurt the Church and her witness to the world about the goodness of God in Jesus Christ. In Catechism we will establish and maintain a firm foundation on the Gospel as it is expressed in our belief, prayer, and life together. Accordingly, we will follow the ancient pattern of teaching through the Apostles' Creed, the Lord's Prayer, and the Ten Commandments. Whether you want to find out for the first time what the Christian faith is all about, or if you have followed Jesus for decades, Catechism is for you!
Catechism class takes place on Sundays from 7:30-8:30pm, right after our post-service fellowship dinner.
